12 Saisons offers an assortment of individual pasties, entremets and savory treats, all of which make use of ingredients at the peak of their flavor and are very attractively presented.

For March, a kouglof studded with candied orange peel is stately in its elegant simplicity. For July, a peach tart's synchronous fruit slices recall the exuberance of a Busby Berkeley swim number. And in October, little mushroom tartlets suggest one last moment of abundant harvest before the onset of winter.

These are elaborate preparations and even something as seemingly simple as a walnut cake is composed of multiple elements. But each is undeniably attractive.
